On a 1-year membership, $5.80 is the most you'll ever pay per screening — and that's assuming only the guaranteed minimum of two free screenings a month. Most months, there are more.

Free entry to SFS Showcase, Spotlight and Preview screenings. Two a month is our guaranteed minimum, not the norm — we regularly programme more. However many you catch, your effective ticket price only drops further below $5.80.

What benefits do I get as a member?

How many free screenings are there, and how do I attend?
At least two a month, not including festivals — and that is our guaranteed minimum. Most months, we programme more. On a 1-year membership, that’s only $5.80 per screening!
To attend, log in to your SFS membership account at
events.singaporefilmsociety.com, claim your free ticket for the screenings that are tagged with “Free for Members”, and show your Eventive ticket at our SFS registration table in the cinema’s lobby. You will also receive email notifications when new “Free for Members” screenings open.
What does membership not cover?
Membership entitles you to discounts for major film festivals in Singapore, not free access. We might occasionally also have special screenings where we offer members a good discount instead of free access, though this is more seasonal and not regular.
Do I qualify for the concession rate?
Students, NSFs and Seniors aged 55 and above enjoy 10% off: $44 for a 3-month membership or $125 for a year.

Does my membership renew automatically?
Yes. Your membership renews at the end of each 3-month or 1-year period, so your benefits continue uninterrupted. The Eventive system will auto-send a renewal notice about a week prior to your membership’s expiry date. You can cancel anytime from your account at events.singaporefilmsociety.com.
Can I get a refund?
Because memberships renew automatically, the simplest way to avoid an unwanted charge is to cancel before your renewal date when you receive the auto-renewal notice from Eventive. We are generally unable to refund a membership period once it has begun and benefits have been used, but if something has gone wrong — for example, an accidental renewal — email us at info@singaporefilmsociety.com, and we will work it out with you.
I was already a member before the new system (before July 2026) — does my membership carry over?
Yes. Existing memberships have been moved to our new system on Eventive. Log in and change your password in the first instance at events.singaporefilmsociety.com using the same email address you signed up with, and your membership and remaining validity will be there.

Can a friend tag along to a free screening?
A select number of our “Free for Members” screenings are also open to the public. Non-members can purchase a standard public ticket. However, there are some screenings that are exclusive to members due to the nature of the event. Encourage your friend to try our membership, starting with the 3-month option!
