The Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), a non-profit organisation, was founded by Busan, Hong Kong and Tokyo International Film Festivals with the shared goal of celebrating excellence in Asian cinema. Aiming to promote and recognise Asian films and its talents, AFAA highlights, strengthens and develops Asian film industry through the annual Asian Film Awards and several year-round initiatives.

Our year-round events and programmes are held with the objectives to promote Asian films to a wider audience, expand the film market within Asia, and build and sustain connections among Hong Kong and international film professional. Masterclass Series – in conversation with filmmakers, Journey to the Fest – Student Visit to International Film Festivals, Asian Cinerama – Film Roadshow, and Young Film Professionals Programme – overseas training and work-placement, are examples of our year-round programmes. These programmes could not have held successfully without the financial support of Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK), formerly known as Create Hong Kong, and Film Development Fund (FDF) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government. The AFAA has worked to promote, educate, inform and develop knowledge, skills and interest in Asian cinema among the industry, students and audiences in Asia and beyond with the support of film festivals and cultural organisations.

亚洲电影大奖学院是由釜山、香港及东京国际电影节共同创立的非牟利机构，旨在对国际展现优秀的亚洲电影作品。学院致力于推广和表彰亚洲电影及业内人才，每年均会举办亚洲电影大奖及多项活动，以加强业界发展，并向世界各地宣扬亚洲电影文化。

亚洲电影大奖自2007起举办，学院的成员来自大奖历届的提名人和得奖者。奖项包括最佳电影、最佳导演、最佳男、女主角等。成员能在每届亚洲电影大奖中，投票选出各个奖项，亦会参与学院在亚洲及全球举办的各类活动。

学院的年度活动包括大师班系列、学生电影节观摩团、亚洲电影巡回放映，以及电影专才海外训练计划，目标旨在向更多观众推动亚洲电影、扩大亚洲电影市场，并让香港与国际电影工作者建立及维系关系。这一系列活动能顺利举办有赖文创产业发展处及电影发展基金赞助。在多个电影节及文化协会的大力支持下，学院向亚洲及世界各地的电影工作者、学生及观众推广亚洲电影工业及文化，传播相关知识，令公众对亚洲电影有更深入的认识。

The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation, presented by the Asian Film Awards Academy, with the financial support from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, formerly known as Create Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Film Development Fund, is a touring film programme that showcases the exceptional creative talents of Hong Kong filmmakers to diverse audiences across different regions. Our mission is to establish strong relations and bring together film professionals from ASEAN countries and Hong Kong for an in-depth discussion of the art of cinema and collaboration. Since 2021, we have been to international cities such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Phnom Penh and so on.

「香港电影巡礼」由亚洲电影大奖学院主办，文创产业发展处及电影发展基金資助，致力推动电影和文化交流，展现香港电影业的魅力及优秀的电影人才，让各个地区的观众继续探索新世代的香港电影，以推动香港电影业的持续发展。

「香港电影巡礼」提供平台让各地的电影业界与香港电影人共建更紧密的合作关系，并汇集来自亚洲地区的电影专业人士与香港电影人深度讨论。自2021年起，亚洲电影大奖学院已在曼谷、吉隆坡、雅加达、金边等多个国际城市举行活动，让观众一同感受香港电影的感动、创造力及多元性。

The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK), established in June 2024 and formerly known as Create Hong Kong, is a dedicated office set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau. It provides one-stop services and support to the cultural and creative industries with a mission to foster a conducive environment in Hong Kong to facilitate the development of arts, culture and creative sectors as industries.

The Film Development Fund (FDF) was first set up by the Government in 1999 to support projects conducive to the long-term development of the film industry in Hong Kong. Since 2005, the Government has injected a total of $1.54 billion into FDF to support Hong Kong’s film industry along four strategic directions, namely nurturing talent, enhancing local production, expanding markets and building audience. In the past, FDF has supported a number of film productions and other film-related projects through various film production funding schemes and other film-related project schemes.

Anselm CHAN Mou Yin (陈茂贤)

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Anselm CHAN Mou Yin is a renowned screenwriter within the Hong Kong film and television industry, an up-and-coming director, and a member of the Hong Kong Screenwriters’ Guild. His directorial debut film is Ready O/R Knot and the second is the sequel Ready O/R Rot. The Last Dance is his third film.

陈茂贤出生香港，是香港影视界著名编剧、新锐导演、香港编剧家联会会员。2021年推出首部电影《不日成婚》口碑载道，续集《不日成婚2》翌年开拍，于2023年上映。《破．地狱》是他的第三部电影，严格意义上的第二部作品。

Despite the pandemic sending most industries into recession, debt-ridden wedding planner Dominic gets a miraculous chance to turn things around when a funeral planner retires and passes the baton to him. His creative gimmicks for funerals help his business find unexpected success, but Dominic’s biggest obstacle is winning the approval of respected and sternly traditional Taoist priest, Master Man.

婚礼策划师魏道生，遇上葬礼策划师明叔退休交捧。红白二事大相迳庭，道生把葬礼当婚礼去办，离经叛道的做法一时为长生店带来收益，但难过德高望重的喃呒老师傅文哥一关。道生事事做到亲力亲为，文哥也会及时相助。道生得到客人由衷感激，从错误中得到领悟葬礼并不只是招度死人，更重要的是招度生人，生者与死者的告别。

YUM Investigation is a detective agency that specialises in the supernatural. With their new member Kojiro, the agency investigates a developer who dispatches evil spirits to scare away the residents of an old building. When they discover that the spirits were created by a sinister “spiritrefiner”, the investigators must use every trick up their sleeves to crack the case.

Sam was the undisputed king of stunt choreography during the golden era of Hong Kong action cinema in the 80s, infamous for over bearing and demanding. After a devastating stunt accident, Sam steps away from the industry. Now, his old friend has persuaded him to work as the stunt choreographer on his last film. The only catch is the film stars Wai - Sam’s former stunt crew member who has since become a famous action star. By chance, Sam crosses paths with a young, ambitious Long, and asks him to be his assistant. Long is caught between the rivalries of the two and at the same time helps Sam to reconcile with his estranged daughter. Sam must confront his past and mend fences with Wai in order to deliver an epic final action spectacle for the director’s swansong.

Anyone who has anything to do with the film industry in Hong Kong, must have heard of a film buff called Lil’ Kim. He knows everything there is to know about filmmaking. Whether it’s on the set, at the movie premiere or at a press conference, he always shows up uninvited. Nobody knows where he came from and why he showed up... Ginger Keung is the producer of a reality show who suspects Lil’ Kim is in fact a film critic who pans movies to extort advertising dollars from film companies. She zeroes in on Lil’ Kim as her next target and decides to dig into his elusive past...

In the lower depths of human societies, the Dirty Rats, or Big Circles are lurked in the shadows of society. Their leader Tung has a perfect plan for a “job” in Hong Kong. In 48 hours, they are to cross the border, rob a jewelry shop and then get back across the border. Tai helped them with a condition but then abandoned them to go to the police. After the “job” is done, police arrive. Tai is killed and they go to the Kowloon Walled City to find a doctor for seriously wounded Block Head. Can these Dirty Rats have another chance? Or, are they really doomed to sanguinary failure?

一九八三年底，通缉犯大东和黑社会阿泰合作，协助广州兄弟来香港打劫金铺。大圈帮知悉被利用后绑架阿泰算帐，阿泰佯言被警方迫令都没有供出他们，大东决定仍与他合作，岂料阿泰竟召集兄弟对付大圈帮，但是他手下不想拚搏反要求暂避，阿泰最后向警方告密。大东等人打劫后被警方追捕围剿，他们以阿泰做挡箭牌逃入九龙城寨。终于阿泰死于非命，各人就去留问题剑拔弩张，大东被迫离队但被警察追捕折回，乌蝇头伤重身死，其他兄弟亦死伤惨重。

Set in the eighties inside the dangerous and enigmatic Kowloon Walled City, which was a de jure Chinese enclave within British colonial Hong Kong, Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In follows troubled youth CHAN Lok-kwun as he accidentally enters the Walled City, discovers the order amidst its chaos, and learns important life lessons along the way. In the Walled City, he becomes close friends with Shin, Twelfth Master and AV. Under the leadership of Cyclone, they resist against the invasion of villain Mr. Big in a series of fierce battles. Together, they vow to protect the safe haven that is Kowloon Walled City.

Despite being swindled out of a large sum of money, the well-known gynecologist YU still insisted that she was in love. YU, who had been widowed for several years, met Joe, who was disguised as a middle-aged French petroleum engineer and widower, on a dating app, not knowing that he was part of an online scam group. Not only was YU immersed in the online romance, but Joe also found pleasure and satisfaction in creating romantic experiences for YU. Two initially unlikable people gradually changed through this online romance that began with deception.

Psychiatrist Dr. MAN is skilled at extracting the deepest secrets of his patients. One day, he encounters CHOI, a cab driver, and finds his condition deeply disturbing. A few days later, CHOI has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and MAN quickly realises that CHOI struggles to differentiate between dreams and reality. MAN is determined to get to the bottom of his story. As CHOI’s story unfolds, MAN begins to experience disturbing and perplexing dreams. Are his night terrors a result of repressed memories, or is there a price to pay for uncovering the ghosts hidden in CHOI’s closet?
