SFS Showcase #4: NITRAM (Sat 29 Jan, 1.30pm)

Sat29Jan'22 - Sat29Jan'22
The Projector

Sat 29 Jan, 1.30pm
The Projector – Blue Room (Vaxxed Cinema)

Dir. Justin Kurzel
2021 | Australia | Drama | 112 mins | In English | NC16 (Some Drug Use and Coarse Language)

A young man lives with his parents in suburban Australia in the mid-90s. He lives a life of isolation and frustration at never fitting in. As his anger grows, he begins a slow descent into a nightmare. Director Justin Kurzel’s (Snowtown, 2011; Macbeth, 2015) contemplative take on the events that led to the 1996 Port Arthur massacre is powerful in its quiet sensitivity, featuring Cannes Best Actor winner Caleb Landry Jones in a chilling performance.

– Winner of Best Actor and Nominated for Palme d’Or (Cannes Film Festival)
– Winner of 8 Australian Academy Awards, including Best Film, Director, Leading Actor, Leading Actress, Supporting Actor & Supporting Actress
