“Reimagining Histories” by The Future Of Our Pasts Festival
February 16 - March 17
Curated by esteemed screenwriter and critic Ben Slater, “REIMAGINING HISTORIES” is a film series designed to explore specific national histories from Ireland, USA, Cambodia and the Philippines. Each of these films explores how histories (and films) are lost and recovered, how personal stories intermingle with national events, and how fictions often reveal greater truths than any official set of facts.
Four feature-length ‘documentaries’ (including Asian Premieres) will be screened at The Projector and are free with registration via Peatix.
19 Feb (Tues), 7PM: FURTHER BEYOND / Dir Christine Molloy & Joe Lawlor (Ireland) *Asian Premiere

These screenings are organised by Yale-NUS under THE FUTURE OF OUR PASTS Festival (TFOOPFest) in support of the Singapore Bicentennial.
TFOOPFest showcases projects by students and recent graduates from different tertiary institutions in Singapore and abroad, who have been commissioned to investigate less explored narratives of Singapore’s history, and present them via creative or artistic mediums. Through immersive performances, exhibitions, public installations, books, films, and a web documentary, these projects explore diverse themes of space, architecture, communities, language, race, relationships, and the arts.
